There is nothing better than an ice cold drink on a hot summer day. Utah has a ton of soda shops with fun drinks for the summer. These are the drinks I look forward to getting every summer and some even get snuck in all year long.
Roxberry Smoothies: Roxberry Smoothies are the best! My favorites are Peachy Keen, Tropical Twist and Ocean Breeze. My husband gets the Lean Machine, LOL lime, Pomegranate Perfection and the Flu Fighter. They sometimes have a mystery smoothie that comes frozen, it is just the extras from smoothies made throughout the day. Just let them thaw a bit and mix them up. It is a cheaper option and if you don’t mind getting a surprise flavor then it’s great!
Chick-Fil-A: We love their homemade lemonade. I worked at Chick-Fil-A in high school and they really do squeeze the lemons and make it in store. It is a perfect summer drink! My husband likes the lemonade mixed with the tea, as well. We like to order our lemonade with no ice and then we put it in the fridge, so it doesn't get watered down. They also sell a gallon size of lemonade which is a good option if you want it for the week, for the whole family or even a party. Swig: Utah is know for their Soda Shops for a dirty soda, which is a soda with mix in flavors. My all-time favorite summer drink is at Swig! It's called Strawberry breeze. It has fresh strawberry chunks and is flavored with coconut, vanilla and strawberries. It is so refreshing and a very pretty drink!
Sonic: The slushies at Sonic are what they are known for. My husband introduced me to the tastiest drink out there called a cream slush. It wasn’t on the menu until about a year ago, but we still ordered one every time before that! It is a slushy mixed with ice cream. My husband gets the strawberry flavor and I like both the Raspberry and the Fanta orange cream slushes. 7-Eleven: If you didn't grow up going to 7-Eleven multiple times a week during the summers then you missed out! All summer long we would stop for a Slurpee! The banana or cherry are my favorite but getting a little of every flavor is good too! My sister and I just did a Slurpee run a few weeks ago and it was just as good as when we were kids! Acai Juice: This is a shoutout to my husband. He is the one that drinks this stuff like it's going out of style. Costco sells them every once in a while, and they usually go on sale while they have them in stock. We love to get them to use in our smoothies, too, but my husband does drink it plain and loves it.
Cheesecake Factory: The Cheesecake Factory have the yummiest lemonades! My husband gets the strawberry and I go for the raspberry flavored one. If you get it in the restaurant, they put a ring of sugar on the cup which makes it even more fun of a drink. We do get one to go anytime we eat there, too which is a good hack! I have found that the WinCo brand of raspberry lemonade tastes very similar to the Cheesecake Factory one. A little bit cheaper of an option or if you don't live by a Cheesecake Factory then that could be another option for ya. Twisted Sugar: Twisted Sugar has a lot of fun drinks to pick from. One that was recommended to us was their frozen hot chocolate. I got the marshmallow flavored frozen hot chocolate and really enjoyed it. My mom and sister each got a different kind and both loved it, too!
Trader Joes: I love getting fun summer drinks from Trader Joes. Every summer they have limeade, lemonade, and fun sparkling lemonades. My husband really enjoys them so we get a few every summer. The limeade is very tart, but so fresh and tastes good. The lemonades in the glass bottles are really good, too!
Strawberry/Banana Crystal Light: This is my all-time favorite flavor of crystal light. One thing to know is that this flavor only comes in the big servings and not in the little single serving packs. It reminds me of summer so much and I look forward to it every year!
