"12 Service Days Before Christmas" Countdown

One year for Christmas I did the "12 Service Days Before Christmas" countdown for my husband. It was actually really cool for me to think of different ways to serve my husband and it was fun to announce each day what I was going to do. Just be careful to not find their hiding spots for presents if you do cleaning of their areas. This could be for a sibling, spouse, friend, partner or whoever you want to serve this holiday season.

On the First Service Before Christmas...Bring Home a Favorite Treat.

This one I brought home a tin of butter cookies that we love during the holiday season. Any treat will do though just get them something they love. My husband would of loved a Starbucks drink, a smoothie, See's Chocolates or anything like.

On the Second Service Before Christmas... Pamper them Night!

My husband really likes massages so I offered a massage without one in return. We like to do facemasks and we have done pedicures before too. Lay their robe out and let them have a pampering them night!

On the Third Service Before Christmas... Clean their Area for Them.

You could clean out their clothing drawers or closet, but do be careful to not find their hiding spots for presents! Clean their "man cave," office, or tidy up their area. If they have a chore around the house you could get it done for them as another way of helping them clean up their area.

On the Fourth Service Before Christmas... Wash their Back in the Shower.

Get a soapy washcloth or a new loofa for them and give their back a scrub! Or think of something you don’t do very often but know they like. A back tickle, a foot rub or whatever else they like. Something to help them relax and feel good.

On the Fifth Service Before Christmas... They Do Nothing Day!

This was probably my favorite day. Try to serve them all day while having them do as little as possible. It was even down to the point where I put the toothpaste on his toothbrush. Get their clothes out, make their lunch, get them a drink, make dinner, do their chores, literally let them do nothing for the day.

On the Sixth Service Before Christmas...Leave Notes Around Telling Them Your Favorite Things About Them.

Leaving notes around the house is always a fun way to show your love for your spouse. Put a note in their lunch, in the car, in the bathroom, on the tv and even in the fridge. Tell them why you are grateful for them, love them and your favorite things about them.

On the Seventh Service Before Christmas...Clean Out Their Car.

This one got postponed since it was snowy outside, but I did do it later on! Also, be careful on this one to not be looking for Christmas gifts. I think my husband pushed for this one to not happen because of that. You could scrape their windows on a cold wintery morning or get them a car freshener or a treat on their dashboard too!

On the Eight Service Before Christmas...Breakfast in Bed.

Breakfast in bed is always a good way to show your love to someone. Make their favorite breakfast and surprise them first thing in the morning. Who doesn't like a hot breakfast in their cozy bed?

On the Ninth Service Before Christmas...Make Their Favorite Dinner.

Make your spouse's favorite dinner. You can surprise them or ask them what they want, but do the cooking and the cleanup to serve your spouse. Or make them their favorite dessert or get their favorite take out. Just take care of dinner for the night.

On the Tenth Service Before Christmas...Iron Their Clothes.

This was a good one since I don’t tend to iron very much. My husband loves his shirts ironed so I did a big ironing party and got all his shirts and pants done so he didn’t have to do it when he wanted to wear something.

On the Eleventh Service Before Christmas...Plan a Date Night That They Will Love.

Surprise your spouse with their favorite date night out or in. Do what they love and show them that you love to see them happy. It can be festive for the holiday or just fully their favorite thing to do.

On the Twelfth Service Before Christmas...Give Them a Gift.

Since this is Christmas Eve Day it works well to get them a gift. We like to do jammies and slippers or just something you know they will like. Don't spoil Christmas day gifts but something small for a sneak peak of what is to come.

What services would you do during the "12 Services Before Christmas" countdown?
