Best Hot Chocolate in Utah!

I don't know about you, but Hot Chocolate is what I look forward to the most during the fall and winter season! I could drink a steamer for every meal during a cold day. I have found my staples, but also have branched out to a few new spots over this past year. Here are my favorite places to grab a hot chocolate or steamer in Utah.

Nauvoo Café: (Salt Lake City) Every Christmas we go see the lights on Temple Square and it's a must to stop by the Nauvoo Café for a hot chocolate. They are always busy, but it is worth the wait to grab a hot chocolate. The little café has really good food options, too! This café is open all year so even after the holiday's the hot chocolate is still an option and tastes just as good.

Kneaders: (Various locations) This has to be my most favorite place to get a pumpkin steamer during the fall season. They use milk and pumpkin syrup with some spices mixed in. It is a good price and size for what you get. They have other flavors and normal hot chocolate, too!

Starbucks: (Various locations) The Peppermint hot chocolate is so creamy and has a good flavor. I also love the toasted white hot chocolate. Something about white chocolate in a drink form is so yummy. The pumpkin steamers in the fall here are yummy, too. The Peppermint Cream or White Chocolate Frappuccino's are some of my favorite cold drink options.

Twisted Sugar: (Various locations) I know Twisted Sugar is known for cookies, but why not get a cookie and a frozen hot chocolate all at the same time. They have multiple flavors of frozen hot chocolates. I tried the Marshmallow frozen hot chocolate and thought it was really good. We were given that as a suggestion from another customer when we went on our first visit. I'm sure they have hot chocolates, as well!

Ritual Chocolates: (Park City) Another awesome hot chocolate spot is at Ritual Chocolates which is known for their chocolate bars and a coffee shop all in one. I got the regular hot chocolate with marshmallows, whipped cream, and chocolate candy bar shavings on the top. So good! They use their chocolate bars to melt down in the hot chocolate which makes the flavor really good. This last winter I tried the Peppermint Chocolate which was just as good! The atmosphere there was really cute too. My husband tried a Lavender flavored coffee and a honeycomb one which was his favorite!

Perks Coffee and Smoothies: (St. George) What a weird place to find my most favorite hot chocolate, since the sun is up most of the year in St. George. We like to grab a drink for the road trip home when we are in St. George so I googled to find a new place to try and Perks was top on the list. I got the White Knight steamer which is hazelnut, vanilla and white chocolate. I wanted another one the second I finished that one. It had such a yummy flavor which wasn't too sweet, but paired well with all the flavors.

Beans and Brews: (Various locations) If you are looking for a good plain hot chocolate then Beans and Brews is the place. They don't have a lot of non coffee options, but the hot chocolate is all you need at this shop. It is a thick and creamy drink and has really good chocolate flavor. The pumpkin steamers are really good here as well during the fall. Don't forget the whipped cream!

Fiiz: I don't drink soda hardly ever so these soda shops aren't usually my go-to. My husband wanted to get a soda so I went and tried a hot chocolate. It was so good! I was surprised at how creamy and flavorful it was. I got the Nutella hot chocolate. It came very hot and was creamy. The Nutella flavor was just right, not too sweet, and the perfect amount of chocolate. There are lots of flavors to choose from and steamer versions of all the flavors, as well.

Oat Milk or Almond Milk Creamer: My husband has tried a couple of different creamer options for our at home drinks. We have really liked the Vanilla or Caramel Oat Milk Creamer. The Almond milk caramel creamers are really good, too. The almond milk creamer froths really well while the oat milk creamer stays a little bit more dense.
