Marshmallow Popcorn Recipe

I was a lucky girl to have Evette Shaw as my grandma! She passed away when I was young, but I have so many great memories with her. She was my best friend! We would have sleepovers and make her famous Marshmallow Popcorn and watch movies! My mom did a great job at keeping her traditions alive as we grew up, so now I have great memories with my mom making the Marshmallow Popcorn too! We still make it together when we are together and it is a frequent treat in my home too! I love how food can bring back memories with others and can create such a special bond! Here is my grandma's famous Marshmallow Popcorn recipe so you can make yummy memories too!

This is such an easy recipe to make and only needs three ingredients! It is cheap, makes a lot and is delicious.

Marshmallow Popcorn Recipe:

1 16 oz bag of mini marshmallows

1/2 cup popcorn kernels(un-popped)

2 TBSP butter

Directions: Pop the half cup of popcorn kernels in an air popper. Sift through the popped popcorn to get the un-popped kernels out and leave in large bowl. Melt the butter and marshmallows in a saucepan on medium. Stir frequently until it starts to melt. Once it is starting to melt stir constantly. When completely melted take off heat. Pour over Popcorn. Stir the melted marshmallow with the popcorn until all of it is covered. Eat it warm or wait for it to cool down. Store in an airtight container.

These can be made into popcorn balls, add some sprinkles, food coloring, candies, or add chocolate drizzle to make it an even sweeter treat. We leave ours in the bowl and snack on it from there.

This is our favorite treat to take to the drive in movies, summer activities, a party or even just for the two of us to snack on.

Let me know how yours turns out and if you like it!
