Fall treats are my most favorite treats to get out of the whole year. Pumpkin anything and everything is my favorite. I have a lot of favorite homemade treats and Utah treats, but I was very excited to try new things in Kentucky this year. I was on the hunt for the best Kentucky fall treats and I think I found some good ones!
Lueberry Smoothies: The Gold Rush Smoothie from Lueberry tastes just like fall in a smoothie form. It has banana, mango, peach with turmeric, ginger and cinnamon all mixed together. It is a runnier kind of smoothie, but still really tasty. I drank one during the summer and said I feel like it is fall in a cup! It is a good option if you are trying to be healthier, but still want a fall flavored drink. The little smoothie shop is adorable, as well!
Dunkin Donuts: This was the first year I have tried the Pumpkin Munchkins from Dunkin Donuts! They are delicious. I now understand the hype about them. They are pumpkin flavored donut holes. The flavor is there, but not over powering. They are a little bit crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. We live near a Dunkin so that might be my new spot during this fall season!
North Lime Coffee and Donuts: I got my first pumpkin steamer from North Lime Coffee and Donuts this year. The storefront is adorable. They have a lot of coffee and non-coffee options along with donuts. The pumpkin steamer had a good flavor and tasted just like fall. The donuts were yummy, too! The flavor rotates weekly, so I am keeping an eye out for their fall themed donuts.
Crumbl Cookies: I just love Crumbl Cookies anytime of the year, but they do have some yummy fall flavors and cute decorated cookies. My favorite is the Circus Animal cookie that they do a Halloween version of with a bat shaped circus cookie on top. The pumpkin chocolate chip cookies are really good from there, too. This is a must during the fall!
Trader Joe's Fall Snacks: For a full detail check out my previous blogs on my favorite Trader Joe's Fall Snacks, but for this blog today I pick my top three! My all time favorite fall treat is the Tiny Pumpkin spice Cookies. They are crispy, crunchy, sweet, and have the perfect pumpkin flavor. My husband and I love their Apple Cider Donuts. The Pumpkin Joe Joe's are my other favorite treat from there. Trader Joe's has so many fun fall treats, foods, and beauty products to choose from. It is a must for my fall season to stop by a Trader Joe's. (Fall Foods From Trader Joe's and Aldi blog)
Aldi Fall Snacks: This was my first year having an Aldi in my area to shop at. They have so many fall treats to pick from. I had a list of things to try, but I didn't get them all yet. The prices are really good there and there are so many fun things to see. I really enjoyed the Pumpkin Pie Caramel Clusters and the Apple Cider Donuts. There are chocolates, popcorn, and cookies on my to find list from there.
Heine Brothers Coffee: My first Pumpkin Frappuccino of the season was from Heine Brothers Coffee! It was the best one I have had ever. It was one of my worries moving to a new state being able to find my favorite treats, but I have found them and they are even better here. The Frappuccino was creamy, the pumpkin was perfect, and they even added cinnamon to the drink part. The only downside is it comes just white if you don't add coffee, but it didn't change the flavor at all.
Starbucks: There are a few Starbucks around the state. I still like to get the Pumpkin Cream Frappuccino from there. I just started getting the cold pumpkin drinks last year, so I have been looking forward to one before the weather gets chilly here this year. The color is perfect for a cute pic and the flavor is yummy! The pumpkin steamers are my go-to usually and Starbucks makes them really good.
Little Debbie Pumpkin Spice Rolls: A co-worker brought these into work and I loved them! You can find them at most grocery stores. The cake part is pumpkin with a marshmallow type flavored creme. She cut them into little bite size pieces for the party which was so cute. I have seen them all over town now that I have had them and know what to look for.
Hadorn's Bakery: This is the cutest little bakery in Bardstown, Kentucky. They have great regular donuts, but they did end up having a few fall options during the times we visited. They had a pumpkin cake donut that had a strong flavor of pumpkin and a sweet frosting. There are pumpkin walnut muffins that were actually really good. They have cute little fall decorated cookies and lots of other treats to pick from.
Just Baked: Here is another little bakery in Bardstown, Kentucky. They are known for their cakes and cupcakes. I got a couple of cupcakes to try and really liked the flavors and the frostings. They did have a pumpkin spice cupcake that was moist and had good flavor. This wasn't my most favorite bakery, but the cupcakes were cute and were a good price.
Deaz Beanz Coffee: I got another yummy pumpkin steamer from Deaz Beanz Coffee shop in Bardstown. The prices are the best here and the flavor options are endless. The steamer had the perfect amount of flavor and was just as good as any others I have had. The little shop is a drive up window and just has cute small town vibes.
Panera: Panera has a lot of yummy bakery items and some yummy food options. We have tried to get our hands on their decorated pumpkin shortbread cookies, but they have been sold out. I do love the cinnamon crunch bagel, orange scone, and their chocolate croissants. I feel like all of those could count as fall treats, but that sugar cookie is the cutest for the season.
Look what we finally were able to get!!! A pumpkin shaped shortbread cookie from Panera. It's adorable! The cookies are $3.00 a piece, so quite pricey. I would say you have to try them at least once. The cookie is a little bit crisp on the edges and softer in the center. It is a shortbread cookie with a hint of lemon in their icing. I ended up really liking this cookie!
Amazin' Glazin': I have heard that Amazin' Glazin' has good pumpkin donuts. We didn't make it out that way early enough to get their fall season donuts, but their regular donuts are delicious. I am sure the fall ones are just as good! I really like their glazed and maple, while my husband loved the apple fritter.
Steak 'N Shake: I just tried the Pumpkin Spice Oreo milkshake from Steak' N Shake. It was a little bit strong with the pumpkin flavor, but the more I drank it the less the flavor stood out. They have the best whipped cream on their shakes. It was a fun treat to try, but I'm not sure I would get this one over my go-to plain chocolate shakes from there.
Cheesecake Factory Pumpkin Cheesecake: Wow, I think I have found my new favorite cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. My husband surprised me with a Pumpkin Pecan cheesecake in the fridge one day after work this season. The cheesecake was a pumpkin spice flavor with pecans on top and a layer of pecan pie and pie crust. It was so good!
Apple Cider Donuts from Costco: Another fun find this year in Kentucky was apple cider donut from Costco! It comes with a dozen in a container. The donuts are a cake like donut covered with cinnamon sugar. The flavor was the perfect amount. I liked these just as much as any of the others I have tried from stores. The price is good, too!
What fun treats have you found in your town?
