Best Breakfast Spots in Kentucky!

One of my favorite things to do is get up early on the weekends and go get breakfast! We had lots of favorite spots in Utah, so we were determined to find all the good spots in Kentucky. I love a sweet or savory breakfast, so there is a good variety here on the blog. There are still tons more places to try, but these are the favorite's we have found so far.

Morning Fork

I though Morning Fork was such a cute place for a breakfast. The decorations are all forks around the restaurant. My husband has been a few times and loves it, he took me for breakfast one day. I wasn't super hungry the day we went so I just got the cinnamon roll. It came warmed up on a little bit plate. My husband loves their biscuits and gravy bowl. The prices are a little higher here for not very much food, but it was good quality. I definitely want to go back and try more items from their menu!

Nord's Bakery

My most favorite donut shop is Nord's Bakery. They have a lot of donut options along with some bakery sweets. I love their vanilla frosted donuts, maple, and the glazed. My favorite chocolate milk is there, too! There is a seating area for those who want to stay and eat their donuts. The price is really good here. The vibe of the store is so fun. There has been a line every time I have gone, but it does go quick. I am glad I don't live super close, or I'd be there daily!

Wild Eggs

Wild Eggs is another breakfast spot my husband found and has brought me back to. His first visit he ordered the everything plate and brought home the leftovers, so I did try the pancakes before going my self. We went during the fall season so I got to try their pumpkin pancakes. So good! I did like their potatoes and bacon that they have there. They have a really good cinnamon roll on the menu, too! We will be going here often for yummy breakfast!

Panera

Panera has the yummiest bagels! I love the cinnamon crunch bagel the best. I haven't tried any other breakfast items yet, but their menu looks yummy. They have cinnamon rolls, muffins, bagels, and sandwiches on their menu. They have a lot of drink options, as well. This is a favorite spot for me here in Kentucky.

North Lime Coffee and Donuts

I was so impressed with this cute coffee and donut shop. The location we went to was decorated so cute and had a good morning vibe. We got some warm drinks and I tried their glazed square donut. The donut was soft in the middle and a little crisp on the outside. It was a yummy donut. I got a pumpkin steamer that was perfect. My husband really liked his honey coffee and said this might be contender with his top favorite coffee shop.

First Watch

We had a First Watch in St. George, Utah. We loved it there and were so excited they had a couple locations in Kentucky. We went for breakfast a few weeks ago and it tasted just like we remembered. Their potatoes are my absolute favorite from there. It has the best seasoning. My husband always gets their waffles, eggs, and bacon from there. Their waffles have the perfect fluff to them and have a unique flavor. The vibe of the restaurant is very friendly and upbeat. We enjoyed it just as much as when we went in Utah. We are happy to have one close by still.

Playa Bowls

We love grabbing Acai Bowls for breakfast or for a mid morning snack. We found Playa Bowls here in Kentucky that is very good. We have tried both the bowls and the smoothies. They have an impressive menu with lots of flavors, toppings, and combinations. My favorite was the Nica bowl. My husband got an Acai bowl that he really enjoyed. The only downside is this place is pretty pricey. We signed up for their loyalty program, but even that doesn't take much off the prices. This is a every once in awhile type place for us.

Hadorn's Bakery

We have gone to Hadorn's way too much since we have moved to Kentucky. It is the closest bakery to our house and I am not even mad about it. They have the cutest little store in the downtown area. They have a lot of donut options along with some other sweets. I really like their cinnamon rolls, donut holes, and the twisted pretzel donuts. They are known for Yum Yum's which are the twisted pretzel donut with white and milk chocolate drizzled on top. They have my favorite chocolate milk there to buy, as well.

Coffee Shops

I made a whole blog on all of our favorite coffee shops in Kentucky you can find here: Coffee Shops in Kentucky! My all time favorite spot is Heine Brothers Coffee shop for their Frappuccino's. My favorite hot chocolate would be from Please and Thank You.  My husband goes to Quill's Coffee anytime he goes to the office because he is addicted to it! I love the vibes all the coffee shops have here in Kentucky. It's a fun place to be for the morning hustle and bustle of getting up and going in the mornings.
