It's another fun season to be shopping at Aldi and Trader Joe's! I have found some new favorites at both stores the last few weeks. I have my go-to's listed too, but a lot of new foods and treats on this list as well! I am loving having both of these stores in the same state. They are very similar in some things and then very different too!
Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels- Aldi
We first had these at Christmas and have fallen in love with them! The chocolate is the perfect flavor with the sea salt on the outside. I like the chocolate to caramel ratio this candy has! There is definitely not enough in one container! We ate these up so quick! We have found another brand at Costco that comes in a large container that we buy too!
Easter Candies and Chocolate- Aldi
I have a new addiction and it is the Finest Easter Eggs at Aldi! I got the premium collection bag that came with the milk chocolate, hazelnut, and a hazelnut crunch truffle eggs. They have bags with all one flavor in them too! I should have bought all Hazelnut crunch and multiple bags. If you like the Ferrero Roche chocolates then you will love that hazelnut crunch egg. It was crunchy and had the perfect hazelnut flavor and creaminess all in one. I ate that bag up so fast! I hope they still have them when I grocery shop this week! If it isn't Easter time when you go then you probably will miss them, but you can't go wrong with any of their chocolates. I love the Crunchy Peanut Butter Schogetten chocolate bars too!
Lemonade-Aldi and Trader Joe's
Lemonade season is coming up! I thought this would be super cute for an Easter drink! We love Aldi's flavored lemonades. They have Strawberry and regular lemonade flavors. The price is very fair on these and go on sale often. This is a definite favorite for the warmer days ahead!
Trader Joe's has our favorite lemonade too! They have freshly squeezed lemonade and limeade. They also have lemonades in glass jars that are shelf stable that are really yummy too! I love their sparkling lemonade too! It is pink and a fancy glass bottle and is perfect for an Easter dinner drink or just to spruce up a dinner.
Beary Tiny Gummies- Trader Joe's
I don't think these are new, but it was the first time I have picked these up to try! My husband loves the fruity candies and fruit snack type treats so these were right up his alley. The bag is the perfect size for a fun little treat. The gummies are mini and come in a few different flavors. They don't taste artificial at all! We will be grabbing these again!
Caramel Coconut Fudge Cookies- Aldi
It is Girl Scout cookie season, but if you don't get your hands on a box of those then there is a knock off brand at Aldi! We have picked up these cookies quite often over the past year. The cookies are very close to a Samoa cookies! The cookies are a little bit smaller and less crispy, but so very close! I love the Tag- A- Longs but Aldi has a knock off version of those too! The peanut butter is the perfect amount and the chocolate melts in your mouth. So good! The price is so cheap and there are quite a few that come in the packages.
Chocolate Crepe Wafer Cookies- Trader Joe's
My all time favorite treat of the season are the Chocolate Crepe Wafer Cookies that come out at the beginning of March! There is the crispiest, crunchiest cookie covered in milk chocolate. The crunch and the melt in your mouth situation is divine! I can eat a whole box of these each sitting! I did stock up on a few boxes this year, because they don't last long in the stores!
Cinnamon Schoolbook Cookies- Trader Joe's
This is an old time favorite that we picked up again this season! I hadn't had them in years and I forgot how yummy they are! It is a crispy shortbread type cracker with cinnamon. It just elevates the cookie so much with the cinnamon in them. My husband was skeptical and then loved them once he tried them. They are super cute for kids too since they are letter cut outs. We as adults even enjoyed them!
Sweet Vanilla Kettle Corn- Aldi
I loved the chocolate drizzled Kettle Corn at Christmas so I was so happy to see Aldi have a spring flavor! They had a Carrot Cake flavor and the Vanilla with Sprinkles flavor. I got the vanilla and ate that bag in a day! The chocolate drizzled on top is the perfect amount and just elevates Kettle Corn to the next level. This bag had little sprinkles too which was adorable and so fun to eat!
White Cheddar Corn Puffs- Trader Joe's
It has been years since I have bought a bag of the White Cheddar Corn Puffs. I forgot at how addicting these are! When I go to Trader Joe's I try to pick up something new or something I haven't had for awhile so that is why this got picked up. It is a great snack in the middle of the day and the bag has a good amount of corn puffs. The white cheddar seasoning is coated on the puffs perfectly, not too much and not too little.
Pasta Noodles from AldiMy husband and I have been trying different kinds of pasta noodle to eat a little healthier, but mostly to just try something new! We found this Live G free brand of brown rice and quinoa pasta. It cooks up pretty similar to a normal pasta. The texture and flavor really isn't different. It is a little bit more pricy for this bag then a normal pasta box, but that is a given for gluten free products.
What fun products have you found for the spring season?
