You can never go wrong with a side of pancakes at breakfast! We have found some yummy pancakes in Kentucky! There are a lot of really good breakfast restaurants in the area and all have unique options for their pancakes. We have tried lots of different toppings and syrups. Listed are a few of my favorites!
Big Bad Breakfast- We were hesitant at trying Big Bad Breakfast at first, but had heard it was good, so we finally went! It did not disappoint! They have a large menu and a lot of unique things to pick from. I got a egg and potato scramble with a pancake on the side! The buttermilk pancake was light and fluffy. They had a unique tasting syrup, which is known as the BBB house made syrup. I don't usually eat a whole pancake in one sitting, but this one was so good and I ate every bite! You can get just pancakes or get them as a side on other dishes on the menu. They also have waffles and French toast on their menu!
Con Huevos- One of the most unique pancakes I have tried in Kentucky is from Con Huevos. First off, their restaurants are the cutest decorate spots in town! They are bright and filled with so many cool things to look at. Anyways, their pancakes are just as good as the decor! I got the Tres Leches pancakes. Never had I heard of this before going here. It changed the way I want to eat pancakes forever now. The pancakes come soaked in the milk blend that is sweet, but not too sweet. The pancakes are so flavorful and so much better with so much liquid. My mouth waters thinking about these ones.
Wild Eggs- Our yearly fall tradition is to go to Wild Eggs for their seasonal Pumpkin Pancakes. They are the best I have had! The pumpkin pancakes come with candied pecans, powdered sugar and the best whipped cream. The flavor in the pancake is spot on. Yum! I have also had their regular pancakes and they are good too! They are fluffy and have a good flavor. Wild Eggs serve large portions for a good price too. This is a favorite breakfast spot in town for my husband and I. If you only go once though, I would suggest in the fall time for their pumpkin pancakes!
Highland Morning- Okay, so this one isn't pancakes, but I had to sneak it in here for one of my favorite sweet bread type breakfast options. I do have their pancakes on my to try list too! They have quite the list of pancakes to pick from on their menu with unique flavor options! I got the French toast when I went and they were so good! This was another fall outing and they had their fall French toast that came with apples and ice cream! It was so good!
First Watch- I haven't had the pancakes at First Watch, but their waffles are so tasty! I don't know if I'd chose a pancake, because of how good the waffles are. I would assume the pancakes would be great as well! This is one of our favorite breakfast spots. Luckily, they have locations in multiple states! It looks like they have multigrain pancakes that come in quite a large size! I will have to give them a try! You can't go wrong with anything you get from First Watch!
Cracker Barrel- I think this is in every state, but I did want to include it on here! Cracker Barrel does have good pancakes! I like their syrup too, so that probably makes me like the pancakes more! I feel like the portion sizes at Cracker Barrel are quite large. I do like that you can get breakfast all day long there too! Kentucky has quite a few locations.
Where are your favorite pancakes from?
